NL EAST LEADING-ATLANTA BRAVES BEAT BALTIMORE ORIOLES IN SERIES FINALE, FINISH ROAD TRIP 9-0

The National League East-leading Atlanta Braves beat the Baltimore Orioles 3-1 on Sunday in the finale of a three-game interleague set at Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD. The Braves swept that series, went 9-0 on their three-city road trip, and have won 16 of their last 18 games.

Jorge Soler opened the scoring with a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning. Adam Duvall added a two-run double later that inning.

The Orioles notched their lone run of the day on an RBI double from Ramon Urias that drove Trey Mancini to home plate in the bottom of the fourth.

Touki Toussaint was credited with the win for Atlanta after surrendering just one run and five hits, walking three, and striking out five in five and one third innings of work. Will Smith got the save. John Means was charged with the loss for Baltimore.

The Braves improved to 68-56 on the season and now hold a five game lead in the NL East over the second place Philadelphia Phillies. They will be back at Truist Park tonight to open up a five-game homestand with the first of two interleague games versus the New York Yankees. First pitch is scheduled for 7:20 pm. That game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 6:05 pm from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.
