The National League East-leading Atlanta Braves were off Wednesday and have yet another off-day today. They will return to action over the weekend with a three-game set on their home field at Truist Park versus the NL West-leading San Francisco Giants. Saturday night’s and Sunday’s games will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM, which will not air Friday night’s opener due to our coverage of high school football.
The Braves saw a nine-game winning streak come to an end with a couple of losses at the hands of the New York Yankees to open their current five-game homestand.
Atlanta is now 68-58 on the ’21 season and lead their division by five games over the second-place Philadelphia Phillies (who lost Wednesday night). San Francisco is 82-44 and have a two and a half game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers in their division.
