According to the latest update from the Georgia Department of Public Health this past Friday afternoon, a total of 1,065,167 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported across the state since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll stands at 19,510. There have been 11,856 confirmed cases in Floyd County, which has also had 205 fatalities. Fulton County has reported the most confirmed cases in the state with 96,687 and the most fatalities with 1,409.
As of the most recent update to the DPH’s vaccine dashboard this past Friday, 9,575,957 vaccines have been administered here in Georgia; 50 percent of all residents have had at least one dose of the vaccine, and 43 percent have been fully vaccinated.
