ROME AND FLOYD COUNTY GETS WATERLOGGED ON TUESDAY

Rome and Floyd County was waterlogged on Tuesday as the remnants of Ida moved through the area. The National Weather Service has reported a total of 4.29 inches of rain from Monday evening until early this morning over at the Russell Regional Airport; the vast majority fell on Tuesday.

The Flash Flood Watch that had been issued for our area until this afternoon is no longer posted. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms remains in the local forecast for today and tonight with the daytime highs expected to be in the mid 80s and overnight lows in the low 60s. Thursday is anticipated to be sunny with highs in the mid 80s.
