Finster Fest will return to Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden in Summerville in October, following a nearly two and a half year hiatus. Event dates are set for Saturday and Sunday, October 9th and 10th.
Tina Cox, Executive Director of the Paradise Garden Foundation, asserts that Finster Fest was cancelled last year due to coronavirus concerns. Efforts will be made to keep attendees safe at this year’s mostly outdoor event, which has been moved from its normal date of Memorial Day weekend.
This celebration of folk art at the home of the late folk artist (and pop culture icon) Howard Finster will feature the wares of 60 plus artists, live music, and food. Finster Fest is sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts, says Cox.
