According to the latest update from the Georgia Department of Public Health this past Friday afternoon, a total of 1,112,841 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported across the state since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll stands at 20,041. There have been 12,957 confirmed cases in Floyd County, which has also had 209 fatalities. Fulton County has reported the most confirmed cases in the state with 99,760 and the most fatalities with 1,424.
As of the most recent update to the DPH’s vaccine dashboard this past Friday, 9,793,897 vaccines have been administered here in Georgia; 51 percent of all residents have had at least one dose of the vaccine, and 44 percent have been fully vaccinated. In Floyd County, 41 percent have had at least a dose, while 36 percent have been fully vaccinated.
