ST. MARY’S KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS RESUME LABOR DAY BBQ

The St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus resumed a local Labor Day tradition on Monday with their annual BBQ at the Rome Civic Center. Supporters picked up their meals via drive-thru this year.

Jim Powell, a member of the Knights, indicates that he is thankful for support and flexibility from the community for this event which raises funds for local charities.

The Labor Day Barbecue was not held in 2020 due to coronavirus concerns; that marked the first cancellation of the event during its 50-plus year history. Over $250,000 has been raised for local charities since its inception.
