(Media release from the Community Foundation for Greater Rome):
The Community Foundation for Greater Rome will partner with the Rome-Floyd Chamber to host a Grant Writing workshop at the Chamber on Thursday, September 9th at 4 pm.
Community Foundation executive director Ashley Garner will offer grant writing tips and strategies as part of the Chamber’s Nonprofit Roundtable series.
“The goal of the Community Foundation is to help connect donors to impactful causes, but also to help our local nonprofits secure the funds they
need to continue doing the great work they do here in Rome and Floyd County,” said executive director Ashley Garner. With over fifteen years in nonprofit fundraising and grantmaking, Garner offers an insider’s perspective for nonprofit professionals on what grantmakers are looking for in grant proposals.
Garner will also announce details of the Community Foundation’s 2021 Greater Rome Impact Grant application process during the Thursday workshop. The Greater Rome Impact Grant is the Community Foundation’s flagship grant program, investing nearly $200,000 in grant funds since 2017. This year’s grant proposals will be due on October 8th.
The Community Foundation for Greater Rome is a nonprofit foundation working to empower donors in Greater Rome to give generously. The Community Foundation has distributed over $1 million to more than 60 charitable organizations since 2016. Donors can learn more by contacting Ashley Garner at [email protected] or 706-728-3453.
