ROME BRAVES RELEASE 2022 SCHEDULE, READY TO OPEN THEIR FINAL HOMESTAND OF ’21 VERSUS HICKORY CRAWDADS

Major League Baseball released the Rome Braves’ ’22 schedule on Monday. The Braves’ season will begin on the road on Friday, April 8th in Greensboro, NC against the Grasshoppers. Their home opener is slated for Tuesday, April 12th at State Mutual Stadium versus the Hudson Valley Renegades.

Rome, the High A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, will play 66 games at home next year. The 2022 schedule features a total of 132 games, 12 more than this season.

The Rome Braves were off on Monday and will kick off their last homestand of 2021 tonight with the first of six games versus the Hickory Crawdads over at State Mutual Stadium. First pitch is slated for 7 pm. The team announced on Monday that the seven-inning doubleheader which had been scheduled for this Thursday evening has been converted to a single nine-inning game. The twin bill was intended to make up for a rainout up in Hickory, NC on August 15th, which will not be made up.
