CORONAVIRUS VACCINE UPDATE FROM GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

A total of 4,103 new cases of coronavirus and 174 more virus-related deaths were reported across Georgia on Thursday by the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 1,177,656 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll now stands at 21,143. The number of confirmed cases totaled 14,281 in Floyd County, which has additionally had a total of 237 fatalities. Fulton County has had the most confirmed cases in the state with 104,291 and the most deaths with 1,464.

As of the most recent update to the DPH’s Vaccine Dashboard on Thursday, 10,196,581 vaccines have been administered across this state; 53 percent of Georgians have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and 46 percent have been fully vaccinated. In Floyd County, 43 percent have had at least a dose, while 38 are now fully vaccinated.
