The Rome Braves beat the Hickory Crawdads 6-2 on Thursday evening at State Mutual Stadium. The teams were originally slated to meet in a double header to make up a game that was rained out on Wednesday night, but ended up playing a single nine inning game. They will meet again tonight with first pitch scheduled for 7 pm.
This marks the final weekend for 2021 to catch the Braves in action at SMS. David Cross, General Manager, is aware that his team may be dodging a few raindrops with inclement weather in the forecast. He asserts that every effort will be made to complete each game safely. Fireworks are scheduled to take place after Saturday night’s game. Sunday’s game is set to be the last for this year.
