According to the latest update from the Georgia Department of Public Health this past Friday afternoon, a total of 1,181,648 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported across the state since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll stands at 21,235. There have been 14,346 confirmed cases in Floyd County, which has also had 241 fatalities. Fulton County has reported the most confirmed cases in this state with 104,544 and the most deaths with 1,468.
As of the most recent update to the DPH’s vaccine dashboard this past Friday, 10,212,758 vaccines have been administered across Georgia; 53 percent of all residents have received at least a dose of the vaccine, and 46 percent are now fully vaccinated. In Floyd County, 44 percent have had at least one dose, and 38 percent are now fully vaccinated.
