ROME-FLOYD CHAMBER CONTINUES EFFORTS TO HELP FILL THE LOCAL JOBS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

The Georgia Department of Labor reported last week that the unemployment rate and number of unemployed residents statewide dropped to pre-pandemic levels for August. This was encouraging news for the Rome-Floyd Chamber. Jeanne Krueger, President and CEO, indicates that every effort is being made to attract workers, even from outside this community, to fill the jobs currently available in Rome and Floyd County.

Younger workers need to be trained and ready to fill the jobs which are being vacated by the retirement of baby boomers, adds Krueger.

Those in search of gainful employment are urged by Krueger to visit the Jobs page on the Rome-Floyd Chamber’s website at www.romega.com for a listing of available jobs among member businesses.
