(Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation media release):

Cook and compete, or just come to eat.

Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation plays host to the Chili-Fest Cook Off presented by Courtesy Ford and Lincoln Rome on Saturday, November 6 at Ridge Ferry Park.

Registration is now open for teams to put their chili recipes to the test to see who has the best chili in Rome. Cost of registration is $50 per recipe with a max of two recipes.

Chili-Fest is open to the general public on Saturday, November 6 at 10 am. We invite everyone to come out and participate in the People’s Choice Award while following COVID protocols. Entry for the public is free but participating in the tastings requires a small fee.

First place of the judges’ choice receives a cash award, a cool keepsake award and bragging rights for the best chili in Rome. Second and third places take home a trophy and prize money. Winners from the People’s Choice category will receive trophies for first through third places.
