THE THREE RIVERS SINGERS WILL RETURN TO THE STAGE ON OCTOBER 16TH

Rome’s community chorus, The Three Rivers Singers, after over a year of having no concerts due to COVID-19, is coming back! The first concert of the season, “Sentimental Journey”, will be held on Saturday, October 16th at 4:00 PM in the historic Desoto Theatre at 530 Broad Street in downtown Rome. Renditions of popular songs, including “All Aboard”, “Fly Me to the Moon”, “I left My Heart in San Francisco”, “New York, New York “, “Georgia on My Mind”, a John Denver medley and more will be on the program. Music Director Len Willingham will conduct, and pianist Joan Hill will accompany the singers.

Masks will be required, and attendees will be encouraged to allow space between groups.

The Roman Chariot will be running that afternoon for those needing a ride from locations downtown to the theater. The phone number to text for a ride is 706-413-2822. There is no charge, but tips are welcome.

The concert is free and open to all. Donations are always appreciated.
