It’s fair week in Rome, Georgia! The 72nd annual Coosa Valley Fair will take place this Tuesday through Saturday at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, located at 1400 Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.
Discounted armbands for “Fall’s Finest Festival” are available until midnight tonight at www.coosavalleyfair.com.
The new attractions for this year include the Aquatic Acrobatic Show and the Bickerin’ Blacksmiths. Jurassic Kingdom, a full blown dinosaur show touted as a perfect mix of entertainment and education, will be back. There will also be a host of rides, exhibitions, and fair food.
Phil Burkhalter, President Elect of the Coosa Valley Fair Association, asserts that the fair is a tradition that dates back to his childhood.
Last year’s Coosa Valley Fair was cancelled because of coronavirus concerns. Precautions will be taken to keep attendees safe in 2021, says JP Cooper, Fair President. Masks are optional, but are not mandatory at this mainly outdoors event.
