FINSTER FEST 2021 SET FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Finster Fest 2021 will take place this Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 5 pm both days at Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden, located at 200 N. Lewis Street in Summerville.

Tina Cox, Executive Director of the Paradise Garden Foundation, asserts that Finster Fest is an annual pilgrimage for artists who were inspired by the late folk artist Howard Finster. CDC guidelines for the prevention of coronavirus will be observed this year.

Every type of art will be represented at Finster Fest 2021, enthuses Cox, who asserts that the event is sponsored once again this year by the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts). It was not held in 2020.

There will also be live entertainment and food vendors on hand, according to Cox.

Admission to Finster Fest 2021 is $5 per person; all youth ages 16 and under will be admitted for free. Attendees are asked to park in the parking lot of the Walmart on US 27 and take a three-minute ride on the shuttle bus to Paradise Garden. For more information, search for the event on Facebook.
