EARLY VOTING BEGINS TUESDAY IN NOVEMBER 2ND MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION

Early voting begins Tuesday in the November 2nd municipal general election. This election will determine the fate of three posts in Ward Two of the Rome City Commission and all seven seats on the city schools’ Board of Education.

Down in Cave Spring, three City Council seats are up for grabs.

According to a post on Floyd County’s website – Early voting will begin and absentee ballots will be available at the Floyd County Board of Elections and Registration Office on Tuesday, October 12. Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The last day to request an absentee ballot is Friday, October 22. The last day to cast your ballot early is Friday, October 29. The Floyd County Board of Elections and Registration Office is located in the Floyd County Administration Building, 12 East 4th Avenue, Suite 20, Rome, GA 30161. Mandatory Saturday voting will be held October 16 and October 23. One optional Sunday voting will be held October 24.

Polls will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2nd, from 7 am until 7 pm.
