The Atlanta Braves took a 2-0 lead in the ’21 National League Championship Series with a second consecutive walk-off win over the Los Angeles Dodgers by a final score of 5-4 in Game Two on Sunday night at Truist Park.
LA struck first with a two-run homer from Corey Seager in the top of the first inning. Joc Pederson evened the score against his former team with a two-run shot for Atlanta during the bottom of the fourth inning.
But the Dodgers broke that tie on a two-run double from Chris Taylor in the top of the seventh. The Braves tied the game again during the bottom of the eighth on an RBI single by Ozzie Albies and an RBI double by Austin Riley. They secured the victory on a walk-off single by Eddie Rosario in the bottom of the ninth.
Atlanta closer Will Smith picked up the win. Starting pitcher Ian Anderson gave up two runs and three hits, walked three, and struck out two over three innings. Brusdar Graterol took the loss for LA.
Game Three in the best-of-seven NLCS is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 5:08 pm in Los Angeles. It will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; air time is 3:50 pm.
