According to the latest update from the Georgia Department of Public Health this past Friday afternoon, a total of 1,250,673 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported across the state since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll stands at 23,869. There have been 15,269 confirmed cases in Floyd County, which has also had 294 fatalities. Gwinnett County has had the most confirmed cases in the state with 110,673, while Fulton County has had the most deaths with 1,578.
As of the most recent update to the DPH’s vaccine dashboard this past Friday, 10,895,314 vaccines have been administered across Georgia; 55 percent of all residents have received at least a dose of the vaccine, and 49 percent are now fully vaccinated. In Floyd County, 46 percent have had at least one dose, and 41 percent are now fully vaccinated.
