ATLANTA BRAVES FALL TO 2-1 IN ’21 NLCS WITH A LOSS TO THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS IN GAME THREE AT LA

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-5 on Tuesday evening in Game Three of the 2021 National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA, which cut the Braves’ lead in the best-of-seven set to 2-1.

LA struck first with a two-run homer by Corey Seager off Charlie Morton in the bottom of the first inning. But Atlanta surged ahead with four runs during the top of the fourth, including RBI singles from Joc Pederson, Adam Duvall, and Dansby Swanson.

The Braves scored their fourth run of that inning on a bases-loaded walk by Eddie Rosario that sent Duvall to home plate. They added another run in the top of the fifth on an RBI single by Duvall.

However, the Dodgers came charging back in the bottom of the eighth with a three run homer from Cody Bellinger and an RBI double from Mookie Betts; they won the ballgame, again, by a final score of 6-5.

Luke Jackson was charged with the loss for Atlanta. Tony Gonsolin picked up the win in relief, while Kenley Jansen got the save for LA.

The Braves will face the Dodgers again tonight at 8:08 pm. The game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 6:50 pm.

Elsewhere in the MLB, the Houston Astros evened the ’21 American League Championship Series at 2-2 with a 9-2 win over the Boston Red Sox in Game Four on Tuesday night in Boston.
