MEMBERS OF A-10 THUNDERBOLT II DEMONSTRATION TEAM LOOK FORWARD TO A HOMECOMING AT ’21 WINGS OVER NORTH GEORGIA DRIVE-IN HYBRID AIR SHOW

It’s almost time for the 2021 Wings Over North Georgia Drive-In Hybrid Air Show! The event will take to the skies over Rome’s Russell Regional Airport on Saturday and Sunday, October 30th and 31st.

WONG ’21 will be a homecoming for four members of the United States Air Force’s A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team, who all hail from this area. Senior Airman Jacob Stephens of Buford, GA, who handles public affairs for the team, enthuses that they’re excited about coming to Rome to demonstrate the capabilities of their aircraft.

The A-10 Thunderbolt, affectionately known as the “Warthog”, specializes in close air support to ensure troops make it home safely, attests Senior Airman Stephens.

The A-10 Demo Team is part of the 355th Wing based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base near Tucson, AZ.

Wings Over North Georgia will be headlined this year by the US Navy’s Blue Angels. For tickets and a complete performer line-up, visit the show website at www.wingsovernorthgeorgia.com. Tickets are limited.
