ATLANTA BRAVES NOW JUST A WIN AWAY FROM A TRIP TO THE WORLD SERIES WITH VICTORY OVER LOS ANGELES DODGERS IN GAME FOUR OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

The Atlanta Braves are only one win away from heading to the World Series for the first time since 1999 after a 9-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night in Game Four of the 2021 National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA; it allowed the Braves to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven set.

Eddie Rosario led that charge offensively with a total of four hits and four RBIs to include a pair of home runs. He got Atlanta on the board with a solo shot in the top of the second inning. That was followed by a solo home run from Adam Duvall.

Freddie Freeman contributed a solo shot during the top of the third. Rosario’s second homerun of the night was a three-run blast during the Braves’ four-run ninth.

Drew Smyly was credited with the win for Atlanta. Will Smith picked up the save. Julio Urias took the loss for Los Angeles.

The Braves hope to secure the National League title with a win in Game Five of the Championship Series tonight out in Los Angeles. The first pitch is set for 8:08 pm. That game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 6:50 pm.

Elsewhere in Major League Baseball, the Houston Astros assumed a 3-2 lead in the ’21 American League Championship Series with a 9-1 victory over the Boston Red Sox in Game Five on Wednesday evening in Boston. That best-of-seven set heads to Houston for Game Six on Friday night.
