ATLANTA BRAVES’ LEAD IN 2021 NLCS CUT TO 3-2 WITH LOSS TO LOS ANGELES DODGERS IN GAME FIVE AT LA

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-2 in Game Five of the ’21 National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California on Thursday night, which cut Atlanta’s lead in the best-of-seven set to 3-2.

The Braves jumped to an early lead on a two-run homer by Freddie Freeman in the top of the first inning.

But the Dodgers came charging back, powered by three home runs off the bat of Chris Taylor. AJ Pollack also had a pair of homers.

Max Fried was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up five runs and eight hits, walking two, and striking out three in four and two-third innings of work. Evan Phillips picked up the win for LA.

The NLCS will return to Atlanta for Game Six on Saturday evening. The first pitch is scheduled for 5:08 pm at Truist Park. That game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 3:50 pm.
