The Atlanta Braves will take on the Houston Astros in Game One of the 2021 World Series tonight in Houston, Texas. Charlie Morton will serve as starting pitcher for Atlanta, and Framber Valdez will head to the mound for Houston. First pitch is slated for 8:09 pm at Minute Maid Park. The Braves punched their ticket to MLB’s Fall Classic by taking the National League Championship Series 4-2 over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Series MVP honors went to Eddie Rosario.
Game Two of the World Series will also be played in Houston on Wednesday night. The best-of-seven set will move to Atlanta for Games Three and Four on Friday and Saturday nights and Game Five (if necessary) on Sunday night. Games Six and Seven, if needed, will be played in Houston next Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
