ATLANTA BRAVES TAKE GAME ONE OF 2021 WORLD SERIES

The Atlanta Braves took Game One of the 2021 World Series by a final score of 6-2 over the Houston Astros on Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park out in Houston, TX.

Jorge Soler became the first batter in history to lead off a Fall Classic with a home run.

Adam Duvall also contributed a two-run homer for Atlanta during the top of the third inning.

Unfortunately, starting pitcher Charlie Morton exited the ballgame early with a fractured right fibula. He is out for the rest of the year.

AJ Minter picked up the win in relief for Atlanta, while Framber Valdez took the loss for Houston.

The Braves will take on the Astros again tonight in Game Two of the best-of-seven World Series. First pitch is scheduled for 8:09 pm Eastern in Houston. Listen on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; the broadcast by ESPN Radio will start at 7 pm.
