The 2021 Wings Over North Georgia hybrid drive in air show will take to the skies over Rome’s Russell Regional Airport on Saturday and Sunday, October 30th and 31st.
John Cowman, President of JLC Airshow Management, and crew have spent this week preparing the show site and welcoming performers. He urges local air show fans to visit www.wingsovernorthgeorgia.com and the show’s social media outlets for ongoing updates.
The United States Navy’s Blue Angels will be the headline act for this year’s air show as part of their 75th anniversary season. And they will be screaming into town aboard their new F/A-18 Super Hornets.
Other military acts to be featured in the WONG 2021 line up include the US States Air Force’s A-10 Thunderbolt II and C-17 Globemaster II, in addition to the US Army’s SOCOM Black Daggers. The performers will also include aerobatic pilots Michael Goulian and Mike Wiskus, Scott “Scooter’”Yoak in his P-51 Mustang, and more.
Cowman indicates that he and his team are keeping an eye on the weather, as locals and visitors to Rome might have to dodge a few rain drops as we wrap up this week and enter the weekend.
Tickets for the 2021 Wings Over North Georgia hybrid drive-in air show are selling fast, asserts Cowman. They may be purchased on the website.
