ATLANTA BRAVES FALL TO HOUSTON ASTROS IN GAME FIVE OF 2021 WORLD SERIES, BEST OF SEVEN SET HEADS BACK OVER TO HOUSTON FOR GAME SIX ON TUESDAY NIGHT

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Houston Astros 9-5 in Game Five of the 2021 World Series on Sunday night at Truist Park, which dashed the Braves’ hopes of clinching the best-of-seven set on their home turf.

Things looked hopeful in the beginning for Atlanta as Adam Duvall clubbed a grand slam in the bottom of the first inning.

However, the Astros tied it up with two runs each in the top of the second and third innings. Freddie Freeman put the Braves ahead one more time on a solo home run in the third. But then the Astros grabbed the lead with three runs in the fifth and one each in the seventh and eighth.

Atlanta reliever AJ Minter was charged with the loss, while Jose Urquidy was the winning pitcher for Houston.

The World Series will return to Houston for Game Six on Tuesday night. The first pitch is scheduled for 8:09 pm at Minute Maid Park. That outing will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; the broadcast from ESPN Radio will begin at 7 pm.
