The Braves’ hopes of taking the best-of-seven series on their home field were dashed on Sunday evening as they fell to the Astros by a final score of 9-5 in Game Five at Truist Park in Atlanta. The loss was in spite of a grand slam by Adam Duvall in the bottom of the first inning and a tie-breaking solo shot by Freddie Freeman in the third.
Houston emerged victorious in that outing, though Atlanta maintains the lead in the series by 3-2. The Braves seek their first World Series title since 1995.
