Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home will host a Family “Pop-In” event on Saturday, November 13thfrom 10:00am-2:00pm on the museum campus. The event is weather-dependent and will be postponed if inclement weather arises.
This “pop-in” event will be themed, “Games in the Garden,” and will feature outdoor activities for all ages, focusing on 19thcentury games. Activities during the “pop-in” include making corn husk dolls, rolling hoops, ring toss, and corn darts. Visitors will also have the opportunity to complete a scavenger hunt on the museum grounds for a prize while learning about the garden from Floyd County Master Gardeners.
Admission price for the pop-in event is $5 per person with a $20 family cap. Museum admission is included in the price for the “pop-in” event and visitors are encouraged to tour the museum as part of their experience.
