THE CELEBRATION CONTINUES IN BRAVES COUNTRY OF THE ATLANTA BRAVES’ 2021 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP

It’s been a big week for Braves Country with the Atlanta Braves winning the 2021 World Series over the Houston Astros on Tuesday night out in Houston, Texas.

David Cross, General Manager of the Rome Braves, enthuses that a raucous crowd attended a Watch Party at State Mutual Stadium for the decisive Game Six of the Fall Classic. There was much celebration when the Atlanta Braves clinched their first World Series title since 1995 with a 7-0 shutout win over the Astros.

Many players on Atlanta’s championship roster once played here in Rome, like Max Fried, a member of the 2016 South Atlantic League Championship Rome Braves. These players teamed up with the players acquired by Atlanta before the 2021 Trade Deadline to create a magical conclusion to this season, indicates Cross.

The 2021 season marked the Rome Braves’ first year as the Atlanta Braves’ High-A affiliate. Prior to that, Rome was a Low-A affiliate. The team came to town back in 2003.
