NO APPLICATION FEE AT GEORGIA HIGHLANDS COLLEGE FOR ‘NO FEE NOVEMBER’

(Georgia Highlands College media release):

Georgia Highlands College is waiving its $30 application fee through the month of November to help reduce barriers for those seeking to attain a college education. Called “No Fee November,” this opportunity is available to all student types, from high school seniors to transfer students to non-traditional working adults and beyond.

“GHC recognizes that the application fee can sometimes keep lower income, first-generation college students and working adults from taking that first step,” Executive Director of Enrollment Management Jennifer Hicks said. “By setting aside the month of November to allow all interested applicants to apply, GHC is providing potential students with the opportunity to get started without the initial application cost.”

“No Fee November” is an extension of the college’s participation in the annual Georgia Student Finance Commission’s Apply to College initiative, which waives application fees for high school seniors. Georgia Apply to College is part of the American College Application Campaign, a national initiative of ACT’s Center for Equity in Learning to increase the number of students accessing postsecondary education.

“$30 can mean a lot to many people,” Hicks said. “For some, that’s an extra Christmas present under the tree. For others, it’s a much-needed tank of gas to get to work. For others, it’s food for the week.”

GHC offers in-person, remote and hybrid classes to fit any schedule. Programs such as the Bachelor of Business Administration in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and the new bachelor’s in Building Information Modeling Management are designed to meet everchanging local workforce needs.

You can learn more about GHC and contact an admissions counselor by completing the college’s admissions inquiry form.

The application fee will be waived for all GHC applicants through midnight on Nov. 30. You can complete your application online.
