CHRISTMAS IN LINDALE 2021 SLATED FOR THIS SATURDAY

Christmas in Lindale ’21 is scheduled for this Saturday, December 4th. It will feature a parade, a festival, and a star lighting ceremony.

Festivities will start with the parade at 2:30 pm, for which line-up be at 2 pm at Pepperell Primary School, attests Tim Reynolds, President of Restoration Lindale, Inc., who adds that parade participants are urged to bring a toy for a toy drive that will be held for kids in Lindale who may not otherwise receive a Christmas gift this year.

The festival will take place from 2 pm to 6 pm along South 1st Street and will feature more than 50 arts and crafts vendors. The star lighting ceremony will be held at 5 pm. Reynolds asserts that there is a lot of history behind that star between the stacks at the old Lindale Mill – it has been a holiday tradition for over nine decades.

Restoration Lindale, Inc. will benefit from a Lindale Christmas Trolley Tour set for Tuesday, December 7th. Their slate of holiday festivities also includes ‘Selfies with Santa’ on Friday, December 10th at the Lindale train station.

The goal of Restoration Lindale, Inc., a non profit corporation, is to promote the restoration, revitalization, and preservation of the Lindale community.

By the way, if you love a parade – there will be two other Christmas parades in Floyd County this week. The Rome Christmas Parade will traverse Broad Street on Tuesday night, while Cave Spring’s Christmas Parade is set for this Saturday night.
