A total of 1,175 new cases of coronavirus and 22 more virus-related deaths were reported across Georgia on Thursday by the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 1,287,554 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll now stands at 25,768. The number of confirmed cases totaled 15,733 in Floyd County, which has additionally had a total of 313 deaths. Gwinnett County has had the most confirmed cases in the state with 114,601. Fulton County has had the most deaths with 1,681.
As of the most recent update to the vaccine dashboard Thursday, 12,328,887 vaccines have been administered statewide; 58 percent of all Georgians have received at least a dose, and 51 percent have been fully vaccinated.
