According to the latest update from the Georgia Department of Public Health this past Friday afternoon, a total of 1,288,387 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported across the state since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll stands at 25,791. There have been 15,742 confirmed cases in Floyd County, which has also had 314 fatalities. Gwinnett County has had the most confirmed cases in the state with 114,687, while Fulton County has had the most deaths with 1,684.
As of the most recent update to the DPH’s vaccine dashboard this past Friday, 12,383,943 vaccines have been administered across Georgia; 58 percent of all residents have received at least a dose of the vaccine, and 51 percent are now fully vaccinated.
