FLOYD COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SEEKS DONATIONS FOR THE SHERIFF’S SANTA PROGRAMS FOR KIDS AND SENIORS

Donations are currently being accepted for the Sheriff’s Santa program held annually by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.

Mechelle Cliatt, program organizer, asserts that gifts and donations are being accepted for children until December 16th for distribution on December 18th. Individuals and families are also sought to adopt a senior as part of Sheriff’s Santa for Seniors.

The Sheriff’s Office seeks bikes and toys for the younger kids, in addition to electronic devices and hoodies for the teenagers.

Those donations may be taken to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, located at 2526 New Calhoun Highway.

Interested parties may adopt a senior through December 14th by reaching out to Tammy Bryant via email at [email protected]. The distribution of gifts for seniors is scheduled for December 17th, says Cliatt.

Floyd County Sheriff Dave Roberson attests that monetary donations towards the Sheriff’s Santa program will be put to good use.

A car show will be held in support of Sheriff’s Santa on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm at the Rome VFW post located at 2632 Cedartown Highway. Sheriff Roberson invites classic car enthusiasts to attend; registration is $25 cash or a toy valued at $25.
