IT’S BEEN A GOOD YEAR FOR TOURISM IN ROME/FLOYD COUNTY, TOURISM OFFICE LOOKS FORWARD TO A BUSY 2022

This has been a good year for tourism around Rome and Floyd County, and the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism looks forward to a busy 2022. This is according to Kristi Kent, Communications Director, who indicates that tennis will be a big draw for the community again next year. Among the highlights for 2021 – the Wings Over North Georgia hybrid drive-in air show headlined by the United States Navy’s Blue Angels in late October.

Kent encourages locals and visitors to Rome to stop by the Welcome Center located downtown or up on Jackson Hill to get information about local events and attractions. And be sure to pick up their brand new trail map!

The tourism office currently seeks public feedback about the trail system via their Rome Trail Survey, for which a link has been posted to Facebook on the Georgia’s Rome page.
