The 2021 World Series champion Atlanta Braves have been named Sports Illustrated’s Team of the Year. Manager Brian Snitker accepted the award on behalf of the Braves during a ceremony on Tuesday evening. Nominees also included the Chicago Sky, Milwaukee Bucks, and Tampa Bay Lightning.
According to SI.com, “Few teams capture the heart of its city en route to a long-awaited championship quite like the Braves did in 2021. That’s why Atlanta took home this year’s Sports Illustrated Team of the Year Award.”
