If you plan to do some Christmas shopping over the weekend, be sure to stop by the Hospitality House Thrift Store at 610 Shorter Avenue in Rome. This is the recommendation of Lynn Rousseau, Executive Director of the Hospitality House for Women, Inc., who indicates that the store offers a wide selection of Christmas décor at low prices.
The store is open each Tuesday through Friday from 10 am until 6 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am until 5 pm. It also offers clothing, shoes, home goods, electronics, and more. Proceeds fund the Hospitality House for Women, Inc. mission to provide support, resources, and sometimes shelter to local victims of domestic violence, says Rousseau, who adds that donations are accepted at the Thrift Store year-round.
Gift cards are now available for purchase at the Thrift Store, as indicated by Rousseau.
Christmas gifts are also sought at this time for the ladies and children who are currently housed at the shelter.
