ATLANTA FALCONS TOP CAROLINA PANTHERS IN NFC SOUTH OUTING

In an NFL update, the Atlanta Falcons beat the Carolina Panthers 29-21 in a match among NFC South rivals on Sunday afternoon at Charlotte, NC.

Atlanta improved to 6-7, tied with the New Orleans Saints for second place in the division behind the 10-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Atlanta secured a head-to-head tie-breaker with a win at New Orleans in early November. Carolina is now in last place at 5-8.

The Falcons remain on the road to face the San Francisco 49ers next Sunday; kick off is scheduled for 4:05 pm Eastern.
