Rome girls celebrate back-to-back Gold Balls in Christmas Tournament

Rome High School’s Lady Wolves hoisted the Gold Ball in yesterday evening’s conclusive round of the 68th Annual Rome Seven Hills Rotary Christmas Holiday Basketball Tournament. The Lady Wolves defeated the Darlington Lady Tigers 49-46. Rome has won back-to-back titles in the Christmas tournament.

The Darlington Tigers won their first Gold Ball since 2006 by a final score of 46-40 over the Model Blue Devils. It was Nathan West’s first title win in the tournament. West was hired as the head coach of the Tigers in 2019.
