The Georgia Department of Public Health Northwest Health District announces that the free, drive-up Covid-19 test sites in Bartow and Floyd counties will remain open Thursday, December 23, despite previously announcing they would be closed that day. Public health officials say news about the Omicron variant is increasing demand for testing.
Regular test hours and days for these two sites are:
Bartow County
LakePointe Sports Complex
261 Stars Way
Emerson, GA
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Floyd County
Coosa Valley Fairgrounds
1400 Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd.
Rome, GA
Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
However, both these test sites will be closed on these upcoming holidays:
· Christmas Eve Friday, 12/24/21
· Christmas Day Saturday, 12/25/21
· New Year’s Eve Friday, 12/31/21
· New Year’s Day Saturday, 1/1/22
