GEORGIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO BEGIN THEIR 2022 SESSION ON JANUARY 10TH

The arrival of the New Year will be followed by the start of a new legislative session. The Georgia General Assembly is slated to begin their 2022 session on Monday, January 10th.

Katie Dempsey of Rome, who represents the 13th District in the state House of Representatives, says that lawmakers will continue to operate under strict regulations with regard to coronavirus. She expects an exciting year.

Measures related to mental and behavioral health will be among Dempsey’s top priorities this year, according to the state legislator. And as always, state lawmakers will be required to achieve a balanced budget for Georgia.

When Dempsey runs for re-election next year, she will have more people to reach in Floyd County due to redistricting.

Dempsey informs all constituents with questions and concerns – she is just a phone call away.
