Georgia’s gas prices continue to decrease, according to AAA, The Auto Club Group. Motorists statewide now pay the average price of $3.09 per gallon of regular unleaded gasoline; that is one cent less than a week ago, 11 cents less than last month, and 99 cents more than this time last year.
It now costs motorists across the Peach State an average of $46.35 to fill up a 15-gallon tank of gasoline.
Montrae Waiters, a spokeswoman for AAA, indicates, “While pump prices are anticipated to increase in the new year, fluctuations in the price of crude oil and the impact of the COVID-19 omicron variant may result in lower gas prices for Georgians this week.”
Sunday’s national average of $3.28 per gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is a cent less than a week ago, nine cents less than a month ago, and $1.03 more than at this same time last year.
