Plans have been announced by the MLK Commission of Rome/NWGA for the 2022 King Celebration weekend. All services are intended to honor the life and legacy of slain Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.
- Virtual Prayer Breakfast – Saturday, January 15th at 9 am streaming live on Facebook @flatrockbaptistrome. The keynote speaker will be Dr. K Scott McClure of Flatrock Baptist Church, Rome, GA.
- Ecumenical Service – Sunday, January 16th at 5 pm streaming live on Facebook @mtolivembcroeinc. The keynote speaker will be Reverend Timothy D. Careathers, Senior Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC.
- March – Monday, January 17th at 11:30 am at the corner of 1st Avenue and Broad Street to the Rome City Auditorium. Drive-thru lunch will be served at the Rome Civic Center at 12:30 pm.
Face masks are required for those who gather in-person.
