Five individuals tapped to serve on the new Floyd County Board of Elections and Registration were officially sworn in on Tuesday by Probate Judge Steve Burkhalter. Jerry Lee serves as the Chairman. The board also includes Ralph Davis, Pam Peters, Gary Stamper, and Corey Townsend. They held their first public meeting not long after the swearing-in.
The group has some tall tasks to tackle, including the upcoming move of the Elections Office to the Floyd County Health Department and the hiring of a new Elections Supervisor.
