And in men’s college basketball – Georgia Tech fell to Wake Forest 80-64 in an ACC outing on Wednesday evening in Atlanta. That marked the first time that the Demon Deacons have secured a victory on the Yellow Jackets’ home court since 2004.
Michael DeVoe led all players in scoring with 22 points for the Jackets, who dropped to 7-10 overall and 1-6 in conference play for their 2021-22 regular season.
The Jackets will return to action this Sunday evening with a non-conference match at home against Clayton State. Tip off is set for 5 pm. The game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 4:30 pm from the Georgia Tech Sports Network by Legends Sports.
Sunday’s game is intended to make up for another non-conference outing that was postponed prior to the holidays.
