Rome’s Downtown Development Authority is eagerly anticipating the Spring and Summer of 2022.
Plans are currently being finalized for this year’s First Friday concert series, which is set to return from June through September. Opening acts are likely to be added to every concert, according to Megan Otwell, Director of Public Relations.
Turnout for last year’s First Friday concerts was great, indicates Otwell, who expects an even better response in the future.
The schedule of events for 2022 will also include the Ellen Axson Wilson Art Walk in May and Fiddlin’ Fest in October. Otwell says that vendors will soon be sought for both.
The DDA also hopes to revive their Downtown Loft Tours this Spring; those have not been offered during the past couple of years because of coronavirus concerns.
