GEORGIA’S ROME TENNIS OPEN, A USTA WOMEN’S PRO CIRCUIT EVENT, SLATED TO RETURN TO ROME TENNIS CENTER JANUARY 31ST THROUGH FEBRUARY 6TH

The Georgia’s Rome Tennis Open, a USTA Women’s Pro Circuit event, will take place at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College from January 31st thru February 6th.

Kristi Kent, the Director of Communications for the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism, says that the tournament will draw some of the top tennis players from around the world to Rome, Georgia.

Spectators will be allowed at the indoor tournament this year, as long as they wear a mask. Volunteers are also sought at this time, says Kent.

Quite a few changes have taken place in recent days over at the Rome Tennis Center to include the addition of Rome native Colt Gaston as new Executive Director, according to Kent, who adds that the Georgia’s Rome Tennis Open will kick off a year full of local tournaments.
