FLOYD COUNTY SHERIFF DAVE ROBERSON PROUD OF ALL HIS OFFICE HAS DONE NOT ONLY TO PROTECT, BUT ALSO TO SERVE

Floyd County Sheriff Dave Roberson is proud of all his office has done not only to protect, but also to serve this community and other communities that are in need.

Roberson and employees of the Floyd County Sheriffs Office recently led the RomeGA Cares effort to provide relief to victims of a tornado which struck western Kentucky back in December. The resulting damage from the tornado was devastating, says Roberson.

Roberson says that he was pleased to pitch in his assistance with the tornado relief effort around Graves County, KY earlier this month. That community’s leaders were happy to have the help.

RomeGA Cares could not have provided that tornado relief without the help of Rome and Floyd County residents, adds Roberson.

Locals also contributed to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office’s Sheriff Santa program over the holidays. Roberson says that their support of this and other programs such as Toys for Tots resulted in a merrier Christmas for hundreds of children.

In other news from the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, the mental health unit at the jail is nearing its long-awaited completion. Roberson anticipates that it will open in February.

And if you are interested in a career in law enforcement, Roberson attests that positions remain available. Contact his office for more information.
